Role Description

As a Business Broker with FCBB Wyoming, you will serve as a trusted advisor and deal-maker — connecting business owners who are ready to sell with qualified buyers ready to acquire. You will:

• Identify and qualify business owners considering a sale (your existing network is your #1 asset)
• • Provide business valuations and help owners understand their market value
• • Create professional marketing packages and confidentially market businesses for sale
• • Source and qualify buyers from FCBB's national buyer database and your own network
• • Guide both parties through negotiation, due diligence, and a smooth closing
• • Collaborate with a seasoned support team — you are never alone in a deal

This role can be structured as full-time or part-time depending on your goals. Many of our most successful brokers started part-time while transitioning from another career or profession.

Compensation

This is a commission-based independent contractor role. There are no caps on your earnings.

• Average FCBB broker earns approximately $250,000 per year
• • Top brokers exceed $1,000,000 annually
• • Compensation is directly tied to your effort, network, and deal volume
• • The more relationships you bring, the faster you earn

Who Thrives in This Role

You do not need a background in business brokerage — you need the right network and the right mindset. Our ideal candidates include:

• Professionals with deep ties to Wyoming's business community (banking, accounting, law, real estate, insurance, economic development)
• • Former or current business owners who understand what it means to build and exit a company
• • Sales professionals with existing relationships among business owners and entrepreneurs
• • Ecosystem connectors: chamber leaders, SBA advisors, franchise consultants, or anyone who business owners call for advice

Qualifications

• Demonstrated network of business owners, investors, or ecosystem partners in Wyoming
• • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• • Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own pipeline
• • Experience in sales, business ownership, finance, real estate, or a related field is a plus
• • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
• • Professional certifications such as Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) or Accredited Business Intermediary (ABI) are a plus — FCBB also provides training and support to help you grow
